Historic Washington State Park will be celebrating the national event, "Healthy Parks, Healthy Food, Healthy People" by hosting a History Hike led by our own Park Historian Leita Spears. The hike will begin at 10 a.m. at the visitor center and should conclude by 11:30 a.m. Each hiker will be encouraged to "Pack a Picnic" of healthy foods and after the hike, enjoy our picnic facilities at the pecan grove. This is a walking tour and will cover numerous historic locations and sites throughout the park. Pace is relaxed and terrain is basically easy. You will hike from one location to the next while your guide gives you wonderful insights on all the "most asked about" locations in the state park, from the Royston Town House to the famous magnolia tree and Pioneer Cemetery. Hike does not include touring inside the historic structures. No reservations required. Historic Washington State Park supports a healthy Arkansas!
Admission: $5.25 adults, $2.75 children ages 6-12
